Today is the day!  Join us on our walking tour of West Philadelphia as we celebrate Bravery In The Neighborhood!

In Humanities, students have been studying bravery from both a personal and historical perspective. We’ve looked at bravery within ourselves as readers and writers, literacy as bravery throughout history, and bravery in middle school. In our benchmark project, we’ve explored the questions: Historically, what has bravery looked like in our neighborhood?

Through this question, students have researched 20 different sites in Powelton and Mantua and outlined, drafted, revised, and finally recorded podcasts to make up our “Bravery in the Neighborhood Audio Walking Tour.” We hope you enjoy!

You can enjoy this audio walking tour in person or at home by accessing our interactive map of the neighborhood.
