In 7th grade Humanities students are jumping into their year-long theme of Discovery by reading the book The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind which tells the story of a young man in Malawi, Africa who creates something extraordinary from nothing. They will be comparing & contrasting additional texts and creating original statements that represent their understanding of the theme and how it applies to their lives.

Students will look at these collages and essays at different points throughout the year to see how they adapted and changed over time and how they remain the same. Each time they will physically change and update the collage based on their interests and perspectives at that time of year.
