Wondering about curriculum at SLA-MS? Curious how project-based learning works?
As part of a SLAMS Staff and SLAMS Home and School Initiative, we will be hosting a series of four curriculum nights throughout the school year.
These nights will allow students the opportunity to showcase their learning as teachers go over the skills we’re working on and ways to reinforce and extend these at home.
The first workshop will take place on October 24th from 5:30-7:30pm on the first floor of SLA-MS. This first workshop will focus on Humanities. Students share their most recent projects before we will discuss the skills students built through this project. We will practice applying these skills in a new context and leave with some ways to extend this work at home.
Food will be provided and childcare for some younger siblings as well. In order to do this effectively, please try to RSVP to Ms. Hilary (hhamilton@philasd.org). But of course, all are welcome even if you can’t let us know ahead of time!
